Indirect Procurement Buyer II

About the role

Slate is seeking an experienced Indirect Procurement Buyer II to lead the sourcing of services, goods, and equipment for its automotive division. The role combines strategic supplier development with hands‑on negotiation and contract management, supporting Slate’s fast‑paced, start‑up environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a strategic supply base for automotive indirect spend.
• Lead supplier negotiations, manage RFIs, RFQs, Master Services Agreements and commercial contracts.
• Source services, goods, and equipment while optimizing cost, quality, and delivery.
• Own automotive indirect procurement processes, ensuring supplier readiness, risk mitigation, and timely launches.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to drive cost reductions, improve supplier quality, and enforce Slate’s General Terms and Conditions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 8‑10 years of experience in indirect procurement, preferably automotive.
• Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset with a track record of identifying and improving inefficient processes.
• High integrity and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
