Income Tax Accountant II

About the role

Rover is seeking an Income Tax Accountant II to support worldwide income tax reporting and U.S. compliance. The role offers broad exposure across the income tax function, from provisions to compliance and forecasting, in a fast‑growing tech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the annual worldwide tax provision under ASC 740, including ETR, FIN48, current and deferred tax calculations, and tax account roll‑forward.
• Prepare month‑end close entries for tax accruals and reserves.
• Coordinate with external advisors on corporate and partnership income tax returns.
• Maintain the tax due‑date calendar and prepare quarterly estimated tax payments and extensions.
• Prepare other quarterly and annual filings such as personal property, CAT, and Seattle JumpStart.
• Maintain and improve the provision workflow in CorpTax Provision.
• Track and resolve tax notices, assist with tax audits and controversy.
• Monitor tax legislation and communicate impacts and potential actions.
• Support special tax projects as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a Master’s degree in Tax.
• 4+ years of progressive experience in public accounting and/or corporate tax.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable working both collaboratively and independently.

Required skills

• ASC 740 tax provision knowledge.
• FIN48 reporting.
• Experience with CorpTax Provision software.
