In-House Agency Plus RN – Med/Surg (13‑week PRN)

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences seeks Registered Nurses for a 13‑week PRN program providing Med/Surg staffing across multiple UAMS locations. Participants will work 36 hours per week on varying shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in acute‑care Med/Surg units, including triage, coordination of care, and patient education.
• Adapt to assignments across UAMS Health, UAMS Benton/Bryant, and The Orthopaedic and Spine Hospital, covering varied shifts and weekends.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, diploma, BSN, or MSN) with a valid RN license.
• Minimum 12 months recent acute‑care RN experience; up to 6 months may be in a management role.
• Specialty experience in Critical Care or F4 Surgical Trauma with pre‑screening score ≥80%.
• Ability to work two major holidays, one additional holiday, and regular weekend shifts during the agreement.

Required skills

• Proficiency in basic computer applications.
• Capability to don and work in PPE such as N95 masks, PAPR or CAPR.
