In-Home Middle School Tutor/Teacher

About the role

Prep Academy Tutors is seeking certified or aspiring teachers to provide in‑home tutoring for middle‑school students in East and West Baton Rouge, Ascension, and Livingston Parishes. The role offers flexible scheduling and the chance to make a direct impact on student learning.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver academic support aligned with the Louisiana curriculum.
• Design customized learning plans that promote deep understanding rather than rote memorisation.
• Provide remedial assistance and enrichment challenges as needed.
• Maintain regular communication with parents about progress, challenges, and achievements.

Required profile

• Current, valid registration with the Louisiana Department of Education.
• Certified teacher or teacher‑candidate pursuing a Bachelor of Education.
• Qualified teacher in the United States or a lecturer at an accredited U.S. or Canadian university.

Required skills
