Immigration Program Manager

About the role

The International Rescue Committee seeks an experienced Immigration Program Manager to lead and expand its immigration legal and civic engagement services. This senior position combines program development, direct client representation, and staff supervision to advance IRC’s mission of supporting vulnerable populations.

Key responsibilities

• Represent IRC at community, partner, funder, and government meetings; deliver presentations on immigration work.
• Design and execute outreach strategies, media initiatives, and partnership development with legal service providers and community organizations.
• Develop a strategic plan for immigration and civics services, incorporating client and partner feedback to improve responsiveness and sustainability.
• Maintain a limited caseload of USCIS cases, including family reunification, adjustment of status, and naturalization.
• Stay current on immigration law and policy; retain DOJ accreditation through ongoing legal education.
• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to immigration and civics staff, ensuring high‑quality service delivery.

Required profile

• Accredited DOJ representative authorized to represent clients before USCIS.
• Proven experience managing immigration legal programs in a nonprofit or humanitarian setting.
• Strong leadership and partnership‑building abilities.
