ICU RN Contract Assignment - Nights, 36 hrs/wk

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a contract ICU Registered Nurse for a night shift assignment in Daytona Beach, Florida, working 36 hours per week. The pay is listed as $63 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, analyze assessment data and develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care, then implement interventions safely and document them.
• Collect and document patient health data systematically and on time.
• Collaborate on patient placement by following hospital policy for admission, discharge and transfer.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and educate patients and families on their conditions, procedures and care plans.
• Participate in peer interviewing and peer review, and take part in quality, safety and effectiveness initiatives.
• Act as a patient advocate, ensure safe handoffs and follow CDC isolation guidelines, PPE use and hand hygiene.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN).
• 2+ years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Fluent in English (reading, speaking and writing).
• Ability to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patients and revise plans of care.
• Basic computer skills, including navigating Microsoft Windows programs.
• Additional licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the unit or state.

Required skills

• RN license
• BLS (CPR) certification
• Trauma Nurse Course Certified (TNCC) preferred
