HVAC Designer / Revit Drafter

About the role

Arden Engineering Constructors, LLC is looking for an experienced HVAC Designer/Revit Drafter to support its Mechanical Engineering team with HVAC design and drafting for commercial and industrial projects. The role works closely with lead engineers to develop coordinated HVAC system designs and 3D models, offering experience and advancement opportunities within the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design and layout HVAC systems, including ductwork and piping distribution systems.
• Develop and coordinate 3D Revit MEP models for mechanical systems.
• Produce detailed construction drawings, plans, details and diagrams in 2D and 3D.
• Assist with the layout and design of air handling units (AHUs) and mechanical rooms.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural and other engineering disciplines.
• Work with Lead Engineers to implement design concepts and project requirements.
• Manage assigned tasks, prioritize workload and meet project deadlines.
• Maintain company quality standards and drafting best practices.

Required profile

• 2-5 years of HVAC design experience, preferably with an engineering consulting firm.
• Experience designing HVAC systems, including ductwork and piping layouts.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating in a team.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, and good written, verbal and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Experience in both 2D drafting and 3D modeling; experience with AHU and mechanical room layouts preferred.
• Willingness to learn new HVAC systems, design methods and industry best practices.
• Associate degree, technical certification, drafting program coursework or related education preferred.
