Human Resources Generalist

About the role

The Human Resources Generalist will manage day‑to‑day people operations and support HR strategies for designated teams in Northwest Houston. This full‑cycle role covers talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, training, off‑boarding, and core HR functions such as safety, payroll support, benefits, and workers’ compensation.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary HR partner to assigned departments, handling recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, safety, leave management, and off‑boarding.
• Partner with managers to optimize organizational structures, drive talent development, and manage change initiatives.
• Execute full‑lifecycle recruiting: create job descriptions, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, extend offers, and guide hiring managers.
• Conduct new‑employee orientation and ensure smooth assimilation into the company.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; review and update policies as needed.
• Provide guidance on employee performance and conduct issues, including investigations of harassment or discrimination.
• Administer benefit programs, open enrollment, new‑hire selections, COBRA, and liaise with plan administrators.
• Support payroll processes and assist with workers’ compensation and safety programs.
