Human Resources Generalist (Baton Rouge)

About the role

Spectrum is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support in Baton Rouge. You will balance employee needs with business priorities, fostering positive employee relations and contributing to the company’s success.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and communicate Spectrum policies across assigned areas.
• Advise employees on workplace conflicts, performance issues, and dispute resolution; manage investigations.
• Oversee leave of absence programs, accommodations, safety, and workers’ compensation processes.
• Lead benefits enrollment meetings and deliver training on policies, benefits, and prevention topics.
• Maintain accurate HRIS and payroll entries, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Support bonus plans, merit processes, reporting, and participate in budget planning and HR committee initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience as an HR Generalist.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Proven decision‑making, problem‑solving, and ability to work under pressure.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local employment laws and wage‑hour regulations.
