About the role
The Human Resources Coordinator provides essential administrative support to ensure the HR department operates efficiently. This full‑time position assists with employee documentation, onboarding, and coordination of training and special events.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate, confidential HR files and conduct periodic audits.
- Answer routine HR questions from applicants and staff; refer complex issues to senior HR personnel.
- Provide clerical support, including job verifications, employee data updates, and processing payment requests.
- Assist with new‑hire orientation and coordinate professional development sessions, workshops, and trainings.
- Support planning and execution of benefits enrollment, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Maintain the master training calendar and support facilitators with materials, rosters, and logistics.
Required profile
- Associate degree in a related field or equivalent office experience.
- Two or more years of professional HR experience, preferably in higher education.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience or ability to quickly learn payroll management software.
- Familiarity with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
What we offer
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $34,000 to $38,000.
- Full‑time, permanent position within a supportive university environment.
