Human Resources Business Partner

About the role

Avis Budget Group is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner who will act as an internal business partner, delivering HR programs, initiatives and solutions to the functional areas. You will be a key member of the HR leadership team and give strategic and tactical HR support to a field operations location of about 450 employees. The main workplace is San Francisco International Airport (SFO), supporting Avis Budget locations across the Northern California market.

Key responsibilities

• Support union, non-union, management and staff in the specified departments and field locations, ensuring HR compliance from a legal and company-policy perspective.
• Work with management to define talent management needs and design and implement HR programs such as organizational design, workforce development and planning, talent review, succession planning, talent acquisition and compensation management.
• Facilitate leadership development and key talent retention efforts, including performance management, coaching, counselling, corrective actions, employee recognition and rewards and talent review.

Required profile

• 3+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Hands-on Employee Relations experience, including investigations, coaching leaders and guidance on performance management and employment practices.
• Ability to influence and partner with operational leaders while balancing employee experience and business needs.
• On-site presence is required; remote work is not eligible.
