Human Resources Assistant

About the role

The Human Resources Assistant provides essential support to the HR department, helping with onboarding, recruiting coordination, and maintaining personnel records while also covering receptionist duties when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with onboarding and off‑boarding processes.
• Maintain employee files and HR records, both digital and physical.
• Support recruiting efforts, including job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
• Coordinate new‑hire orientation, training logistics, and oversee programs such as DISA and Safety Council.
• Manage supplies for employee files, new‑hire binders, and company marketing materials.
• Keep spreadsheets and HR reports up to date.
• Provide onsite HR support as required.
• Assist with employee events, compliance tasks, and special HR projects.
• Cover receptionist duties during lunches and as needed.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Highly organized with great attention to detail.
• Analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
• Professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1‑3 years of administrative or HR experience preferred.
