HR Supervisor

About the role

ABB is hiring an HR Supervisor for its Fort Smith, Arkansas operations, supporting the US Fort Smith Motor Manufacturing plant in the Motion NEMA division, which serves over 1,000 employees. The role reports to the HRBP and is onsite. It covers HR support for the plant's operations managers and employees, including employee relations, compliance guidance, performance management and recruitment for hourly roles.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end HR support for manufacturing site employees, including employee relations, compliance guidance, performance management and recruitment for hourly roles, and answer daily employee questions on compensation, benefits, policies and employment matters.
• Lead fair, thorough and timely investigations into workplace concerns, including hotline reports, with a focus on root cause resolution and compliance with company standards.
• Partner with site leadership and managers on people strategy, workforce planning and organizational effectiveness, and execute HR processes across the employee lifecycle such as onboarding, leave management and return-to-work coordination, working with Payroll, Benefits and Supervisors.
• Facilitate change management and continuous improvement, organize engagement, wellness and recognition events, and keep employee records and Workday data confidential.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of related human resource experience.
• Preferred: HR experience in a manufacturing environment, strong knowledge of employee relations, coaching, investigations and labor practices, and experience driving organizational change.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, with a customer-focused, proactive approach to problem solving.
• Work authorization to work for ABB in the US.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office: Word, advanced Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Workday and UKG are preferred.
