HR Platforms Reporting & Data Analyst

About the role

The HR Platforms (HRIT) team seeks a Reporting & Data Analyst to support Workday HCM and Payroll analytics. This hybrid position works on‑campus Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, with Wednesday remote.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance and college/division stakeholders to translate business needs into sustainable reporting solutions.
• Develop, maintain and enhance reports and queries using Workday HCM/Payroll, Prism, SQL and Excel.
• Analyze and reconcile complex HR and Payroll datasets to identify trends, anomalies and data‑integrity issues.
• Collaborate with Business Systems Analysts and technical partners on testing, validation and resolution of data/reporting issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, HR, Data Analytics or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in HR data analytics, HR systems or reporting.
• Strong understanding of Workday HCM and Payroll processes, especially in a higher‑education environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work with large, sensitive HR/Payroll datasets while maintaining confidentiality.

Required skills

• Workday HCM/Payroll reporting and Prism Analytics.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data cleansing, reconciliation).
• SQL query development and data manipulation.
• Analytical problem‑solving with a curiosity‑driven mindset.
