HR Generalist – Remote Part‑Time Contract

About the role

Huckleberry is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to work remotely on a part‑time contract (10‑20 hours per week, 1099). The role blends traditional HR duties with people‑operations responsibilities, ensuring that HR practices are fair, compliant, and aligned with the company’s growth mindset.

Key responsibilities

• Design, launch, and manage performance feedback cycles, handling communications, tracking completion, and facilitating follow‑ups.
• Partner with managers to create consistent team‑development systems and equip them for effective performance conversations.
• Analyze employee‑engagement data, identify patterns, and recommend improvements to foster a collaborative culture.
• Serve as a confidential resource for employee‑relations issues, conducting investigations and guiding resolutions.
• Ensure all HR policies and practices comply with federal, state, and multi‑state contractor regulations.
• Maintain accurate, organized HR records and continuously improve HR processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of HR experience covering both traditional HR and people‑operations functions.
• Proven ability to manage performance management processes and employee‑relations matters with discretion.
• Strong understanding of U.S. employment law, including multi‑state compliance for employees and contractors.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills.
