HR Generalist – Remote

About the role

RainFocus is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join its People team on a fully remote basis. The role supports day‑to‑day HR operations and acts as a trusted partner for employees and managers, helping shape a positive employee experience from recruitment through performance and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers to source, interview, and hire qualified candidates while ensuring a smooth candidate experience.
• Coordinate background checks, employment eligibility verification, and deliver engaging new‑hire orientation.
• Administer HR programs covering compensation, benefits, leave, performance management, recognition, and employee development.
• Track and document compliance with mandatory training, certifications, and professional licensure requirements.
• Support employee recognition initiatives that reinforce company culture and values.
• Respond to employment‑related inquiries, escalating complex matters as needed.
• Participate in disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations with discretion.
• Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws; regularly update policies.
• Assist with scheduling, assignments, and workflow for HR support staff and help managers deliver timely performance evaluations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of broad HR experience, demonstrating operational excellence and a genuine passion for people.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to engage confidently at all organizational levels.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• High integrity, professionalism, and strict confidentiality.
