HR Generalist – Full-Time (Baton Rouge)

About the role

Safe Air Technology, a fast‑growing manufacturer of mission‑critical and explosion‑proof HVAC systems, is seeking an HR Generalist to support its rapid expansion in Baton Rouge. The role will start with a strong focus on recruiting and onboarding, then broaden to full‑cycle HR responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead recruiting for hourly and salaried positions, including posting jobs, screening resumes, coordinating interviews and managing candidate communication.
• Facilitate onboarding and pre‑employment processes to ensure a smooth entry for new hires.
• Maintain employee records, HR documentation and HRIS data.
• Assist employees with HR‑related questions, benefits enrollment and HRIS administration.
• Support employee relations activities such as coaching, investigations, write‑ups and documentation.
• Track attendance, timecards and personnel changes.
• Contribute to training initiatives, compliance, audits and HR projects.
• Participate in culture‑building and employee engagement programs.

Required profile

• 3+ years of HR experience, preferably with recruiting exposure.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.
• Strong communication, confidentiality and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced setting.
• Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRIS systems.
• Experience using ADP Workforce Now.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
