HR Business Partner

About the role

Trading Academy is a fast‑growing financial education company seeking an HR Business Partner to support a multi‑state, sales‑driven workforce. You will combine deep employment‑law knowledge with the credibility to influence sales leadership, helping scale the organization while preserving its culture and values.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with sales managers on performance management, coaching, and conflict resolution.
• Conduct thorough employee‑relations investigations and ensure consistent disciplinary processes.
• Advise leaders on multi‑state employment matters, including leaves of absence, wage‑and‑hour compliance, and accommodations.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with California and federal laws.
• Lead benefits renewal, open enrollment, and resolve benefit‑related employee issues.
• Administer leave programs (CFRA, PDL, FMLA) and coordinate with payroll and benefits teams.
• Support HRIS (iSolved) administration, reporting, and data insights.
• Prepare offer letters, contractor agreements, and manage onboarding to ensure day‑one readiness.
• Design performance review cycles, employee engagement initiatives, and manager development programs.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience as an HR generalist or business partner.
• Strong expertise in employment law, especially California and federal regulations.
• Proven ability to influence senior sales leadership and manage multi‑state workforce issues.
• Experience with benefits administration, leave management, and HR compliance processes.
