Head of Operations

About the role

BlueDot Impacpt is a mission‑driven nonprofit startup focused on AI safety and biosecurity. As Head of Operations you will build the operational backbone that enables rapid growth from a small team to a multi‑location organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Scale the team from 7 to 25 by designing recruiting, onboarding and people‑operations processes.
• Manage contracts, payroll coordination, benefits and the admin infrastructure for a growing workforce, including external contractors.
• Oversee relationships with accountants, lawyers and other external partners.
• Deploy grant funding efficiently across multiple countries, ensuring compliance and rapid disbursement.
• Set up and run the new San Francisco headquarters: lease negotiation, office layout, furniture, equipment and ongoing facilities management.
• Support the entrepreneurs‑in‑residence program by coordinating visas, accommodation and workspace logistics.

Required profile

• Proven experience scaling operations at a fast‑growth startup.
• Strong bias toward action and ability to identify and fix broken processes quickly.
• Ability to distinguish between high‑impact processes and unnecessary bureaucracy.
• High agency, self‑starter attitude and comfort working in a mission‑focused environment.
