Housekeeper

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Housekeeper for a facility in the Williamsburg area of Virginia. The Housekeeper performs house cleaning throughout the facility, including laundry and tidying, and notifies the supervisor of quality issues and repair needs.

Key responsibilities

• Change linens and make beds as required.
• Dust and clean furniture, picture frames, mirrors, windows, baseboards, carpet edges, door panels, ledges and thresholds weekly.
• Pull trash from receptacles and clear trash from tables and floors.
• Clean and vacuum under beds, desks and behind nightstands several times per week or as needed.
• Clean bathtubs/showers, tub ledges, sinks, vanity shelves, toilets, tissue box covers and soap dishes.
• Sweep and mop tile floors and dust lights, sconces and lampshades.
• Perform laundry duties as assigned.
• Notify the supervisor of quality control issues and repairs that may need the Public Works department.
• In billeting rooms: clean refrigerators and microwaves after guest departure, check alarm clocks and microwaves, and set thermostats to 70 degrees.
• Assist the Conferencing and Concierge staff with housekeeping requests and complete other assigned tasks.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. or naturalized citizen with a valid driver's license.
• U.S. government-issued clearance at time of application.
• Physically able to stand, bend and lift during a shift, lifting up to 15 lbs frequently and 30 lbs occasionally, with walking, kneeling and repetitive motion.
