Housekeeper – Full‑time

About the role

The Housekeeper will maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment at Citizens Medical Center, a 25‑bed critical access hospital in Colby, KS. This full‑time position works 8‑hour days, five days a week, with rotating weekend shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and follow daily cleaning assignments.
• Perform routine maintenance on carpets, tiles, and vinyl flooring.
• Adhere to safety, infection‑control, and chemical‑handling procedures.
• Attend meetings, in‑service trainings, and complete any additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• No formal education required; ability to read and follow directions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively in a team setting.
• Commitment to maintaining high sanitary standards and respectful interaction with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lb and perform continuous movement throughout the shift.
