About the role
The Hourly Collection Development Strategies Assistant supports the University of Arkansas Library in planning and executing collection development initiatives. This temporary, fixed‑term position is ideal for current university employees, including student workers and graduate assistants, who are interested in library services and data‑driven decision making.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in developing and updating collection development strategies and policies.
- Gather, analyze, and report on usage statistics and acquisition data.
- Coordinate with faculty, staff, and vendors to identify collection needs.
- Prepare documentation, presentations, and reports for library leadership.
- Support day‑to‑day operations of the collection development team.
Required profile
- Current University of Arkansas System employee (student employee or graduate assistant).
- Strong interest in library services, research, or information management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
