Hotel Maintenance Engineer – Part‑Time

About the role

The Hotel Maintenance Engineer performs preventative and repair work to keep the property in line with quality and sustainability standards while delivering friendly service to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct room inspections, identify repair needs and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Install, repair or replace sheetrock, wall coverings, paint, basic electrical fixtures, light switches, receptacles, bulbs and TV units.
• Perform minor plumbing, HVAC pump maintenance, water‑line tracing and kitchen equipment troubleshooting.
• Repair furniture, follow local, state and federal codes, and assist as a bell attendant during staffing shortages.

Required profile

• High school diploma; trade‑school coursework preferred.
• Previous experience as an engineer/maintenance worker or equivalent training.

Required skills

• Sheetrock installation and wall covering repair.
• Basic electrical work (fixtures, switches, receptacles, lighting).
• Minor plumbing and HVAC pump maintenance.
• Water‑line tracing and repair.
• Kitchen equipment troubleshooting.
