Hotel Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Hotel Maintenance Engineer ensures the property meets quality, safety and sustainability standards while delivering friendly service to guests. This position offers a clear growth path toward supervisory and chief engineering roles.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct room inspections, identify repair needs and perform preventative maintenance.
• Install, repair, and replace sheetrock, wall coverings, paint, basic electrical fixtures, light switches, receptacles, bulbs and fixtures.
• Repair furniture, install and program televisions, and perform minor plumbing tasks.
• Maintain heating, cooling pumps and HVAC units, trace and repair water lines, and troubleshoot kitchen equipment.
• Keep accurate maintenance records, follow local, state and federal codes, and support guest satisfaction initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma; trade school coursework in a related field preferred.
• Previous experience as an engineer/maintenance worker or equivalent training.
