About the role

James River Home Health and Hospice is seeking a compassionate Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to provide hospice and home health support to patients in Winchester and surrounding areas on a PRN basis.

Key responsibilities

Perform personal care services such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding according to the Aide Plan of Care.
Document care provided, take vital signs, and report any deviations or changes in the patient’s condition to the Case Manager or Registered Nurse.
Assist with ambulation, transfers, range of motion, and support the RN in specialized procedures as directed.

Required profile

Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) licensed by the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
At least one year of experience as a CNA, hospice aide, or home health aide; hospice experience preferred.
Valid driver’s license and reliable insured vehicle.

Required skills

Ability to take and record vital signs.
Proficiency in documenting patient care according to agency policy.
