HIV / Primary Care / Infectious Disease Physician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced physician to join our outpatient clinic in Los Angeles, focusing on HIV, primary care, and infectious disease. The role involves delivering comprehensive medical care, developing individualized treatment plans, and supporting patients in prevention and long‑term health management.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient medical care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s medical needs.
• Conduct patient assessments, physical exams, follow‑ups, and preventive care visits.
• Educate patients on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and preventative health strategies.
• Prescribe medications and therapies, ensuring safe and appropriate use.
• Order and interpret labs, diagnostic testing, and imaging as needed.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation.

Required profile

• MD or DO from an accredited institution with an active, unrestricted California physician license.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Infectious Disease, or a related specialty.
• Minimum 2 years of physician practice experience in hospital, outpatient, private practice, or community health settings.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage complex patient care needs.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience in HIV/AIDS care, Hepatitis C treatment, infectious disease management, or chronic disease care is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) and charting systems.
