Healthcare Training & Onboarding Specialist

About the role

Vitra Health is seeking a Healthcare Training & Onboarding Specialist to ensure all employees receive effective onboarding, training, and continuous development. The role will manage the learning management system, design training programs, and support compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Organize field staff onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training.
• Facilitate new‑employee orientation sessions and ensure completion of required documentation and training in line with company, state, and federal standards.
• Develop and maintain initial and ongoing training curricula, documenting all training activities.
• Collaborate with hiring managers during the first 90 days to promote clarity, engagement, and retention.
• Coordinate equipment setup with IT/Recruitment for new hires.
• Serve as primary point of contact for new employees throughout onboarding.
• Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and leadership input.
• Design, develop, and deliver in‑person and e‑learning programs.
• Lead training on Vitra’s electronic health record platform and mandatory compliance topics (NCQA, HIPAA, OSHA, medication administration, person‑centered care).
• Maintain training manuals, guides, multimedia materials, and accurate auditable records.
• Manage the LMS to track participation, certification renewals, and compliance.
• Partner with subject‑matter experts and external instructors for specialized training.

Required profile

• Experience in healthcare training, onboarding, or learning and development.
• Strong organizational and collaboration skills with clinical leadership and hiring managers.
• Ability to assess training needs and develop appropriate curricula.
• Attention to detail for maintaining compliance documentation.

Required skills

• Learning Management System (LMS) administration.
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform training.
• Knowledge of compliance standards such as NCQA, HIPAA, OSHA.
• Creation of multimedia training materials and e‑learning content.
