About the role

Arcetyp LLC is seeking a full‑time Healthcare Credentialing Specialist to provide credentialing and administrative support for Navy clinical staff at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA. The role is performed onsite daily and involves handling sensitive personnel and healthcare provider information in compliance with Department of Defense regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and review professional education, specialized training, licensure, and background information for prospective and current clinical support staff.
• Obtain and assess credentialing documentation to confirm authenticity and adequacy of medical qualifications.
• Determine completeness of credentialing and background records prior to employment or placement.
• Monitor and track licenses, certifications, registrations, DEA status, and required training for privileged and non‑privileged providers.
• Research and respond to inquiries from healthcare institutions regarding staff performance history.
• Maintain accurate credentialing data using government systems and databases.
• Perform administrative tasks such as scanning, copying, printing, faxing, typing, and records processing.

Required profile

• Experience in healthcare credentialing or related administrative functions.
• Familiarity with military or government healthcare environments and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work onsite at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth.
• Eligibility to access and handle sensitive personnel and healthcare information.
