Health Information Technology Specialist West

About the role

iQVIA is recruiting a Health Information Technology Specialist to support a pharmaceutical client partnership, working across multiple cardiovascular brands in the US market. The role focuses on integrating brands into EHR systems at priority accounts, identifying barriers to patient care, access and treatment processes, and sharing EHR insights to support population health across inpatient and outpatient sites. It suits someone who is a self-starter, comfortable in ambiguity and able to work in a matrix environment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify gaps and barriers in EHR systems at priority IDNs and health systems, and solve them
• Identify workflow barriers and recommend scalable solutions
• Work with customers, clinicians, IT informatics, quality and EHR teams to share insights that improve patient care
• Complete workflow assessments with institutional customers and develop customer-specific plans
• Act as a matrix team subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders
• Share insights on optimizing EHR systems for inpatient, outpatient and emergency department care

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• At least 4 years of experience in design, build and/or testing of EHR software, or a leadership-level role in a health system informatics group or a similar role in a pharmaceutical company
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare and health information technology, and of software build and optimization techniques
• Ability to discover issues, prioritize and solve problems
• Team player able to work in a matrix environment, with strong oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to travel overnight regularly

Required skills

• EHR software experience, including Epic, Cerner, Meditech and McKesson (preferred)
• Preferred: Master's degree, clinical IT, pharmacy IT or nursing informatics experience, pharmaceutical or life science health IT specialist experience, and B2B or software sales experience

The potential base pay range is $125,000 - $135,000 per year, depending on qualifications, location and schedule; additional incentives, bonuses and benefits may apply.
