About the role
Charge Robotics is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead a 15‑plus multidisciplinary team as the company scales from initial commercial deployments to repeatable, high‑volume production of solar‑farm building robots.
Key responsibilities
- Report directly to the CEO and mentor an all‑star engineering organization.
- Align engineering initiatives with company strategy and product roadmap.
- Design and oversee the transition from R&D prototypes to full‑scale manufacturing.
- Represent engineering to customers, investors and other stakeholders.
- Establish and continuously improve engineering processes, performance reviews and organizational design.
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering leadership role, shipping complex electromechanical systems.
- Proven ability to scale engineering operations from prototype to production.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Physics or related field.
- Based in or willing to relocate to the San Leandro Bay Area and work onsite.
