Handyman – $35/hr, Full Benefits, Sign‑On Bonus

About the role

Honey Homes is seeking experienced handymen to service a dedicated portfolio of 40‑50 residential homes in Chicago. You will work regular Monday‑Friday hours, providing reliable repair and maintenance services without evenings, weekends, or on‑call duties.

Key responsibilities

• Perform carpentry tasks such as door installation, trim work, framing, and repairs.
• Handle painting and drywall patching to maintain interior finishes.
• Address minor plumbing issues, including toilet, faucet, and pipe repairs.
• Complete basic electrical work such as fixture installation, outlet replacement, and small wiring tasks.
• Install and configure smart‑home devices.
• Use the company app to log jobs, track schedules, and update task status.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of multi‑trade handyman or maintenance experience.
• Proven ability to work independently and solve a wide range of home‑repair problems.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and clear communication skills.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and personal tools.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and work on ladders or scaffolding up to 12 ft.
