Engineer II

About the role

K&A Power Group is seeking a motivated Engineer II to join its Oakbrook, IL office. You will work on electrical engineering projects for power utility and industrial clients, contributing to design, cost estimating, and project coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Determine customer needs and facility requirements for electrical projects.
• Prepare feasibility studies, conceptual designs, and preliminary cost estimates.
• Develop final designs, detailed cost estimates, and project schedules.
• Create equipment and material specifications and produce AutoCAD drawings for bidding and construction.
• Conduct field surveys, stakeouts, and obtain necessary permits and municipal approvals.
• Coordinate design and work processes among customers, contractors, utilities, and municipalities.
• Enter project data into SAP WMS, Smart Map, GIS, and reconcile project completion.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• At least two years of experience in electrical engineering design and quality assurance.
• Experience with overhead and underground distribution system designs.
• Proficiency in using Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
