Groundskeeper/Porter

About the role

Greystar is seeking a reliable Groundskeeper/Porter to maintain the physical appearance and curb appeal of a 699‑unit stabilized community. The role involves daily inspections, litter removal, lock changes, and supporting the service team to ensure a clean, safe environment for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect common areas, grounds, and amenities throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet waste.
• Clear trash from vacant apartments, transport it to dumpsters, and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor service requests, assist with make‑ready processes, and change locks per property policy.
• Distribute resident notices, report hazards, and provide courteous customer service.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete OSHA training, and report incidents promptly.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of groundskeeping or porter experience.
• Dependable, detail‑oriented, and able to perform physical cleaning duties.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance).

Required skills

• Basic cleaning and janitorial skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, manage time effectively, and maintain strong work ethic.
