Groundskeeper / Porter - North Oaks Landing

About the role

Greystar is hiring a groundskeeper/porter for North Oaks Landing, a stabilized 200-unit garden-style apartment community in Raleigh, NC. The role keeps the community's grounds, amenities and curb appeal in good condition and supports the service team. It is scheduled Monday to Friday, with a flexible schedule including call-outs on evenings, weekends and holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris and pet droppings, keeping common areas and amenities neat.
• Remove trash and items from vacant apartments before make-ready, transfer trash to the dumpster or storage area, and clean and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor and routine service requests asked by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and help the make-ready specialist with the turn process.
• Change locks in line with property policy and check that pool gate access complies with codes and safety standards.
• Distribute notices and communications to residents as needed.
• Report hazards or dangerous situations to supervisors.
• Treat residents with respect, answer questions and respond sensitively to complaints about maintenance.
• Attend safety meetings, complete OSHA and other safety training, and report accidents and incidents promptly.

Required profile

• Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property.
• Able to stand, walk or sit for long periods, bend, climb ladders, reach, carry objects and crawl in confined spaces.
• Able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather and to lift up to 25 pounds alone and 50 pounds with help.
• Rare or regular travel to other properties or training may be required.

• Hourly pay of $16.00 - $17.00, with possible weekly, monthly or quarterly bonuses for onsite positions.
