Grocery Food Clerk - Part Time (12pm-10pm)

About the role

Meijer is looking for a part-time Food Clerk to work its South Bend store between 12pm and 10pm. The role delivers excellent customer service through product knowledge, efficient service and a friendly attitude, and covers a range of retail tasks in the meat, seafood, bakery, deli and grocery departments.

Key responsibilities

• Build rapport with customers and respond to their questions effectively
• Display a friendly, outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language
• Stock product and keep displays up to standard according to merchandising guidelines
• Use technology to complete tasks and follow safety and sanitation procedures

Required profile

• Detail-oriented and organized, able to stay calm in a fast-paced environment
• Strong listening and communication skills, face-to-face and virtually
• Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling product, and to stand for long periods
