About the role

Meijer is hiring a Greeter in Noblesville. The greeter provides a professional presence at the front entryways, deterring theft by engaging with customers entering and leaving the store and the checkout area, while keeping team members and customers safe.

Key responsibilities

• Actively identify and quickly resolve unsafe conditions and situations
• Prevent theft through an active presence and engagement with customers entering and exiting
• Respond to alerts urgently to check receipts, recover unpaid merchandise and resolve alarms
• Reduce store disruption after applying company de-escalation and negotiation techniques
• Document and communicate theft, safety and alarm activity incidents

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 1-2 years of customer service or asset protection experience
• Fluent understanding, speaking, reading and writing of English
• Physical requirements: limited sitting, frequent standing, walking, crouching, bending, pushing or pulling, lifting 0-25 lbs regularly, occasional high exertion, occasional outdoor work and exposure to hot and cold environments
