Greenskeeper

About the role

The Greenskeeper joins the Golf Course Maintenance Department at Maverick Golf and Ranch Club, providing essential care for the course’s greens, tees, fairways, and surrounding landscapes.

Key responsibilities

• Operate mowers, string trimmers, and other equipment to maintain greens, aprons, tees, sand bunkers, and cart paths.
• Set tee markers, maintain ball washers, replace towels and flags, and keep flower beds tidy.
• Maintain fuel and fluid levels, report equipment issues, and return equipment to the maintenance facility.
• Water, fertilize, and spray chemicals on tees, greens, fairways, and landscaped areas under supervision.
• Assist in construction projects, including grading, soil preparation, sod laying, and irrigation repairs.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate trucks and light motorized equipment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, stand and walk for long periods, and lift items over 50 lb.

Required skills

• Knowledge of grounds and landscape construction/maintenance methods.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to operate mowers, string trimmers, dump trucks, and other small equipment.
