Graphic Designer – Marketing & Communications

About the role

SpaceX is seeking a Graphic Designer to lead the creative development and execution of visual assets that inspire and educate the public. You will work across print, digital, webcast, and experiential platforms, translating stakeholder direction into compelling designs.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Communications, Content and Creative teams to produce assets for multiple platforms.
• Sketch, storyboard, and generate concepts based on research and stakeholder input.
• Own the end‑to‑end creative process from design through execution for internal and external projects.
• Maintain and evolve the visual aesthetic of the SpaceX brand.
• Lead and manage projects ranging from simple design requests to complex print‑ready materials.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art, web design, advertising or a related field.
• At least 1 year of professional design experience in illustration, graphic design, or print production.
• Strong visual and conceptual skills with a keen eye for detail.

Required skills

• Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects.
• PowerPoint and/or Keynote.
• Figma.
• Image optimization, retouching, and color correction.
• 2D digital asset and iconography creation.
• Animation, motion design, motion graphics, and dynamic interaction design.
• Industrial design fundamentals and collaboration with industrial designers.
• UX/UI design principles.
• Printer specification language and coordination with external print vendors.
• Visual quality assurance of image size, format, color, and file delivery.
• Typography and illustration design.
