Graphic Designer – Kids Character Licensing for Apparel

About the role

We are looking for a talented Graphic Designer to create kid‑focused character graphics for a fashion brand’s apparel line in Central New Jersey. This position starts as a temporary assignment with the potential to become permanent, offering a fast‑paced environment where creativity meets tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop artwork for seasonal and retailer collections, as well as licensor presentations.
• Collaborate in internal and external creative meetings, shopping trips, trade shows, and other licensor/retailer events.
• Take creative direction and feedback while maintaining high quality and originality.
• Produce flat sketches of bodies and complex seamless repeat patterns.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience designing graphics for kids’ apparel (both boys and girls) in character licensing.
• BA or BFA in Fashion Design or equivalent on‑the‑job experience.
• Strong familiarity with major licensors such as Disney, Universal, Warner Bros., Paramount/Nick, and major retailers like Target, Costco, and off‑price stores.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
