Graphic Designer 2 – Production Artist

About the role

NIKE is seeking a Graphic Designer 2 to join the Production Artist team in Beaverton, OR. This six‑month contract role focuses on creating compelling visual assets for apparel, packaging, retail displays, and event signage while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop original graphic designs that reflect Nike’s design ethos across print, packaging, 3‑D retail displays, event signage, logo systems, and video collateral.
• Manage projects from concept through production, including timeline creation, budget tracking, supplier coordination, and quality assurance.
• Control costs by estimating project expenses, proposing production alternatives, negotiating with vendors, and reconciling budgets.
• Liaise with domestic and international suppliers to source materials and ensure technical specifications are met.
• Act as a communication bridge between Nike’s internal teams (Image Design, Marketing, Product Design) and external agencies.
• Provide design support to senior designers as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of graphic design experience in the apparel or sportswear industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent professional experience.
• Hands‑on experience with tee, fleece, skateboard, and cut‑and‑sew graphics.
• Demonstrated ability to translate graphics into schematics, screen‑printing files, and other technical production formats.
• Strong portfolio focused on skate‑culture or sportswear graphics, showcasing trends, innovation, and storytelling.
