Grant Analyst - Rural Health Transformation Program

About the role

aFit Staffing is recruiting a Grant Analyst for the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP), a five-year statewide initiative in Indiana focused on improving healthcare outcomes and building sustainable healthcare infrastructure in rural communities. The analyst ensures grant-funded organizations stay compliant with state and federal funding requirements, monitors financial stewardship, program performance, reporting accuracy and risk, and works with program, finance and data teams. The position is a long-term contract with a hybrid arrangement of about 2-3 days onsite in Indianapolis and a 37.5-hour week.

Key responsibilities

• Implement risk-based monitoring for sub-awardees, including desk reviews, virtual reviews and on-site monitoring
• Analyze financial documentation to verify allowable costs and maintain audit-ready records
• Track corrective action plans and assist with audit preparation
• Monitor sub-award spending using PeopleSoft Financials and perform reporting and reconciliation
• Review sub-awardee data for accuracy and support data integrity and reporting requirements
• Provide technical assistance on grant administration, reporting and documentation, and collaborate with local, state and federal stakeholders

Required profile

• 4-6 years of program evaluation, quality assurance, grant oversight/administration, data analysis, data management and financial analysis/grant accounting experience
• Knowledge of federal and state grant regulations
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Public health background, experience with CMS-funded programs or federal cooperative agreements, familiarity with Indiana rural healthcare systems, and experience with REDCap, EUNA, Amplifund or similar platforms are highly desired
