Grains Relationship Manager

About the role

Hedgepoint Global is looking for a Grains Relationship Manager in Chicago to support its US Agriculture desk. The role serves existing clients with risk management strategies, expands the business with new opportunities and helps clients understand and apply OTC and listed derivatives products in agribusiness risk management. It is a full-time position combining client service, new business growth and personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of clients, maintaining strong and lasting relationships.
• Understand client needs and provide consultative support on commodity derivatives and structured solutions.
• Work closely with Portfolio Managers to design and implement risk management strategies.
• Deliver presentations, market insights and reports to clients with actionable recommendations.
• Act as liaison between clients and internal teams (Sales, Trading, Operations, Quant).
• Monitor client activity, performance and satisfaction, and proactively address issues or opportunities.
• Support business development by identifying cross-selling opportunities and new prospects.
• Keep up to date on commodities, derivatives and market trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Agriculture.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in grains merchandising, brokerage, agribusiness sales or related services.
• Understanding of agriculture markets and client profiles such as farmers, co-ops, elevators, ethanol plants, mills and feed lots.
• Existing network of clients or connections in the agricultural industry.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Active Series 3 license, or willingness to obtain one with company support after joining.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and AI tools.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused, consultative approach.
• Analytical and problem-solving ability, working independently while collaborating with global teams.
• Differential: prior commodity market experience, risk management knowledge in international markets, futures and options knowledge, and Spanish and/or Portuguese are advantages.
