Graduate Structural Engineer

About the role

IMEG Corp., a 100% employee‑owned design consulting firm, is seeking a new‑graduate Structural Design Engineer to join its Dallas (or Houston) office starting May 2025. You will work alongside experienced engineers to deliver structural solutions for a variety of building projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing and analyzing structural systems using steel, concrete, wood, and masonry, following code requirements and IMEG standards.
• Prepare detailed designs, specifications, and calculations with engineering software and tools.
• Interact with clients to gather requirements, communicate technical information, and maintain professional relationships.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and documentation of design decisions.
• Participate in quality‑control processes and stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Prior internship experience in building design consulting is a plus.
• Engineering in Training (EIT) license preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of structural design techniques and standards for steel, concrete, wood, and masonry.
• Proficiency with industry‑standard structural analysis and design software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
