Graduate Program Coordinator – Communication, Culture & Technology

About the role

The Graduate Program Coordinator supports the academic, administrative and operational functions of the Department of Communication, Culture, and Technology within Georgetown University’s College of Arts & Sciences. Reporting to the Department Chair, the coordinator works closely with faculty, university offices, students, alumni and external partners to advance program goals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage enrollment processes, including admissions, merit‑aid administration, and recruitment outreach.
• Oversee marketing and communications efforts such as website updates, social‑media content, and production of promotional materials.
• Coordinate course scheduling, registration, and program assessment activities.
• Plan and execute special events – orientations, commencements, alumni gatherings and recruitment initiatives – while monitoring budgets.
• Support faculty and student services, handle inquiries, and ensure compliance with university policies.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in higher‑education program administration or related coordination role.
• Strong organizational, analytical and project‑management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency in digital outreach tools (website content management, social‑media platforms).
• Familiarity with enrollment‑management workflows and merit‑aid processes.
• Budget monitoring and event‑logistics coordination.
