GPU Implementation Engineer – Austin & San Diego

About the role

The Power Implementation Engineer will join Qualcomm's Adreno GPU team, focusing on power estimation, implementation, verification, and minimization for cutting‑edge GPU cores. The role drives methodology and flow development to deliver best‑in‑class performance, power, and area.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain power estimation and analysis flows (e.g., Power Artist, PrimeTime PX).
• Perform RTL‑ and synthesis‑based power optimization, including clock gating, power gating, and multi‑VT techniques.
• Conduct thermal analysis and optimization for GPU use cases.
• Model and optimize performance, power, and area across the SOC design.
• Support semi‑custom design flow, methodology, and SOC implementation.
• Explore new technologies and power‑saving strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 4+ years of GPU or ASIC design experience, with a strong understanding of ASIC design methodology on advanced process nodes.
• Experience interacting with senior leadership (Director level or above).
• Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
