Global Supply Chain Planner / Buyer

About the role

The Global Supply Chain Planner / Buyer translates demand into executable supply plans, ensuring material availability and optimal inventory across the company’s worldwide network. This role partners with internal teams and international assembly partners to align supply with production schedules and business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Convert demand forecasts, customer orders and business inputs into supply and purchasing requirements using the Syteline ERP system.
• Define and maintain planning inputs such as lead times, safety stock, reorder points and planning assumptions.
• Review and validate system‑generated planning outputs for accuracy and feasibility.
• Set target inventory levels for finished goods and components, balancing service levels, working capital and operational constraints.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to shortages, excess inventory and obsolescence.
• Coordinate material flow between U.S. operations and international assembly partners to meet production schedules.
• Lead cross‑functional recovery planning with Operations, Logistics and Scheduling, and communicate material risks to stakeholders.
• Provide supply‑side inputs to the SIOP process and partner with Finance, Operations, Product Management and Marketing.

Required profile

• Proven experience in global supply planning and inventory management.
• Strong analytical ability to translate demand data into actionable supply plans.
• Demonstrated cross‑functional collaboration with Finance, Operations, Product Management and Marketing.
• Experience working with international assembly partners and managing material flow across regions.
