Global Media Relations and Social Media Assistant Director

About the role

EY is looking for an experienced media relations and social media professional to support its Global Industrials & Energy portfolios. The role will build and strengthen the global media profile of EY’s leadership and work closely with senior stakeholders and Brand, Marketing & Communications colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Manage senior global stakeholders to deliver executive visibility programs and elevate external share of voice.
• Develop and execute integrated media relations and social media strategies aligned to industry priorities and EY’s reputation agenda.
• Oversee external PR agency teams, planning, execution, evaluation and reporting against earned media KPIs.
• Generate earned media results with global, national and trade media covering business, financial, energy, industrial and investment press.
• Plan, create and deliver social media campaigns in collaboration with the Global Social Media team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an external communications role, advising senior leaders on media matters.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence senior leaders, global teams and agencies.
• Excellent news judgment and ability to track global news agenda for media opportunities.
• Ability to work with complex, technical or specialist content and cultivate relationships with international business media.

Required skills

• Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
• Experience managing external PR agencies and delivering earned media performance.
• Ability to benchmark performance, analyze results and optimise media and social impact.

• Base salary range $120,000 to $204,000 (US locations) with performance‑based rewards.
