Global Contract Services Distribution Negotiator AVP

About the role

Barclays is seeking an AVP to lead and independently manage a portfolio of complex derivatives documentation negotiations. You will partner directly with clients and internal stakeholders to negotiate master agreements and amendments, primarily ISDA documentation, while balancing legal, commercial, risk and regulatory considerations.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate and execute ISDA Master Agreements, DF Protocols, FIA agreements and related amendments.
• Conduct due‑diligence activities including capacity, authority, netting opinions and collateral enforceability reviews.
• Collaborate with onboarding, credit, collateral management, treasury, tax, sales and trading teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and transaction execution.
• Maintain accurate management information and documentation data integrity and stay ahead of evolving regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience negotiating ISDA Master Agreements and related derivatives documentation within a global financial institution.
• Strong understanding of collateral and counter‑party risk frameworks, including CSAs, UMR Initial Margin and Variation Margin requirements.
• Ability to independently manage complex legal and contractual negotiations while applying knowledge of financial markets, regulatory requirements and due‑diligence processes.
