Global Continuous Improvement Specialist

About the role

Marsh is looking for a Global Continuous Improvement Specialist to join its team in Urbandale, Iowa, on a hybrid basis with at least six days per month in the office. You will lead high-impact transformation initiatives that drive efficiency, scalability and innovation across the Accounting Operations organization, partnering with senior leaders to solve complex business challenges and improve processes, systems and ways of working.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership to define and run transformation and continuous improvement strategies aligned with business goals and priorities.
• Design, deploy and scale Lean methodologies across business units, coaching teams on continuous improvement principles.
• Lead enterprise-wide improvement initiatives through change management, stakeholder engagement and project execution.
• Advise on the vision, architecture and optimization of enterprise accounting applications, acting as a thought leader across platform engineering, UX, product management and senior leadership.
• Work with Business Operations and Information Systems to shape product roadmaps, architecture decisions and resource planning.
• Keep up with billing and payment trends and turn them into solutions and recommendations.
• Analyze complex business and systems issues to improve billing and payment processes and software applications.
• Partner with enterprise architecture and development teams on technology evaluation, strategy alignment and standardized tools.
• Mentor colleagues on continuous improvement methodologies and promote a safe, compliant, collaborative environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Finance or Accounting.
• 5+ years of related experience and/or training.
• 2+ years leading large-scale finance process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Experience across multiple cross-functional finance process areas.
• Experience designing and documenting processes and workflow models at all levels.
• Experience in high-growth SaaS or PaaS organizations, multi-location global operations, and domain expertise in Order to Cash (O2C/OTC).

Required skills

• Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and Root Cause Analysis, with the ability to build organizational strategies around continuous improvement.
• Project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Data analysis and data mining tools; collaboration with programmers to build data collection and analysis tools.
• Preferred: data analysis, process mining and visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Tableau; MySQL and Excel; Six Sigma Green Belt, CBPP or CBPL certification.
