Gift Shop Coordinator

About the role

The Gift Shop Coordinator oversees daily operations of LVHN's gift shops, ensuring clean displays, proper inventory, and compliance with hospital standards. This position works closely with the Gift Shop Manager and volunteers to deliver a high‑quality retail experience for patients, visitors, and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain clean and attractive displays throughout the gift shop.
• Keep the stock room organized and compliant with JCAHO requirements.
• Partner with the Gift Shop Manager on ordering and re‑ordering merchandise.
• Manage volunteer staffing for the gift shop.
• Collaborate with the Gift Shop team to ensure appropriate inventory levels.
• Handle daily cash counting, receipt deposits, and cash‑control procedures.
• Ensure credit‑card purchases and paid invoices have proper receipts and approvals.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 5 years of retail sales experience, including merchandise purchasing and product marketing.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping, budgeting, inventory control, and retail operations.
• Understanding of vendor‑client relationships and customer service.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lb and perform frequent standing, sitting, and keyboard use.
